Projects

In 2006 The group sponsored a project on Dual Process Theories of Reasoning and Rationality. Follow this link for more details.

The group is currently running a major project under the title 'Conceptualizing Mental Illness'. Follow this link for more details.

In 2008, the group will also be running a short seminar series on 'Practical Reasons'.

Conferences

Inaugural conference. 14 June 2004, The Open University, Milton Keynes, with guest speakers Prof. Ruth Millikan and Prof. Robert Brandom.

The Varieties of Analysis: Conceptions of Analysis in the History of Philosophy. 30 March - 1 April 2005, St. Catherine’s College, Oxford. Organised by Michael Beaney, in association with the British Society for the History of Philosophy.

Philosophy and Historiography. 3-5 April 2006, Robinson College, Cambridge. Organised by Cristina Chimisso and Michael Beaney (now at the University of York) in association with the British Society for the History of Philosophy.

Seminars

Further seminars  took place as part of the MMR Group's project on dual process theories, and more are being organized  in connection with the Group's current project on mental illness.
